Renowned commentator Tom Bower didn’t hold back in his critique, questioning how Meghan could emphasize the significance of family while she and Prince Harry remain estranged from both their own families, with only a few exceptions.
Bower’s skepticism intensified as Meghan claimed her tardiness was due to getting milkshakes for her children. He found this explanation ludicrous, pointing out that it doesn’t take three days to buy milkshakes or take one on a school run. Meghan left on Monday, yet it raises questions about who would handle school runs for the rest of the week.
Bower argued that Meghan’s attempts to portray herself as a busy young mother fell flat because she doesn’t live that lifestyle. He noted that the children are seldom seen with her when they could be, with only a vague sighting on July 4th.
Bower’s comments raised speculation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle actually have children or if there are doubts about Archie’s existence. Some even interpreted this as Archie being a mere illusion in the royal narrative. The doubts led to questions about the Sussex family’s life, especially as they had traveled to the UK for the Queen’s celebration without their children, and reports indicated that no one had attended Archie’s birthday party at Frogmore Cottage.
Prominent figures like Oprah Winfrey and James Corden had not seen their children during their visits to Montecito. Bower was quoted in The Daily Express, saying, ‘This is a woman who talked tonight about the importance of family, the importance of family values…
Her speech is never off the cuff; she ensured that the Invictus excursion would be covered because she planned days ago to casually reference it in her speech. Everything she ever does is calculated, yet it’s executed in a sloppy and poorly contrived way.’
He further commented that Meghan appears to be attempting to reshape her image into that of a regular mom who enjoys burgers, all in an effort to undo her reputation as an unlikable diva. However, Bower believes that her true essence remains unchanged, no matter how much money or public appearances she and Harry engage in.
In Bower’s view, Meghan and Harry’s actions reflect a desperate desire to live life their way while being firmly in the public eye. They often seek to intrude on the royal family’s schedule or adopt phrases from what they perceive as their chief competition, which, in Bower’s assessment, only makes them appear more ridiculous.
