George still has two more years left at Lambrook before moving on to secondary education.
The future of George’s secondary schooling remains uncertain, with a strong possibility being the renowned Uppingham School in Northamptonshire, known for its co-educational boarding and day school programs. If George attends Uppingham, it would be a departure from the educational path of his father, Prince William, and grandfather, King Charles, who both attended the prestigious Eton College, as did Uncle Harry.
Previously, there was speculation that Duchess Catherine would prefer Marlborough College, her own alma mater, for George. Princess Diana’s daughter-in-law, along with her siblings Pippa and James Middleton and Princess Eugenie, all have ties to Marlborough. However, the school’s increasingly flamboyant image and its appeal to the global elite have led to a shift in preferences. A palace insider noted that the current version of Marlborough may differ significantly from how Catherine remembers it, suggesting it has become more of a jet-set destination, which does not align with Catherine’s preference for understated elegance.
