The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on Monday. While the princess continues her absence from public life following a cancer diagnosis, fans have taken to social media to share favorite moments from her past engagements and events. When the couple visited Portsmouth to meet competitors in the British leg of America’s Cup World Series sailing race, someone who didn’t seem too impressed with Ainsley was the Prince of Wales. In a video, William’s reactions, with his less-than-pleased expressions while the athlete is talking at length and joking with his wife, have been making the rounds. The prince is seen unenthusiastically clapping, and the text reads, “Already hates this.” A few seconds later, William stands back a bit and crosses his arms while the princess and Ainsley keep speaking.
The text says, “William is pissed off at that point and not even trying to hide it.” The next text that pops up claims the future king is plotting to legalize beheadings before thinking, “I’ll do the beheadings myself.” The video has also garnered hundreds of comments, with many finding William’s reactions hysterical as people could not stop laughing at his expressions. Another pointed out that the following year, William did not have Catherine present the medals; instead, William gave them out to Ainsley and a team at the 2016 America’s Cup World Series. “He was visibly jealous of Ainsley. It will forever be hilarious, the jealousy he has over her. It’s so cute. Him being overprotective is my fave thing.”
As for the princess, one video that has gone viral features footage from a Zoom call the couple had with actors Emma Stone and Emma Thompson about the 2021 movie “Cruella.” The video opens with William talking about a playful encounter with a woman he had met, saying, “I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday who wanted to kiss me.” Catherine then chimed in and joked, “This is what happens when I’m not around.” William elaborated that he had met Betty McGee, who lives in a care home, and they chatted over ice cream when Betty said, “It’s customary in these parts to give a lady a kiss on the cheek.” Many of the commenters not only gushed about how cute the couple was being in the interview but also the princess’s voice. “She puts on a more soft voice usually,” others talked about the rasp the princess had in her voice in these Zoom calls. “We can hear her sort of normal voice, and it’s so attractive.”
Another moment involves the 36-year-old Duke of Cambridge on a solo tour of Africa, where he had been pictured tracking down black rhinos to learn more about poaching in the area. However, while his wife may be enjoying family time at home, the 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge is apparently jealous of William’s trip to Namibia. Speaking at the British High Commissioner’s reception in Namibia, William said, “I am delighted to be visiting Namibia for the first time.
I’m only sorry my wife Catherine is not able to join me. She is immensely jealous, particularly as I am looking forward to a few good uninterrupted nights of sleep this week away from my wonderful children.” Prince William is, of course, referring to his three beautiful children. Despite being seen numerous times since the birth of Louis, Catherine is actually officially on maternity leave and therefore would not be required to accompany Prince William on this trip.
