A former Royal butler, who served King Charles for seven years, has suggested recent developments could make a UK move for the prince more likely than ever.

Prince Harry could be inspired to return to the UK after the announcement that Birmingham will host the 2027 Invictus Games, a royal insider claims.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold says the games will see the Duke of Sussex spending much more time in the country after relocating to the States with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children.
It came after the pair stepped down as senior royals in early 2020, and relations between the Sussexes and the Palace have grown fraught in the years since.
But Harrold, who previously worked for King Charles for seven years as part of his household, said he “wouldn’t rule out Harry moving back”.
“I think Harry will be looking to increase his time in the UK,” Harrold told Slingo. “I heard he may be looking for a house too, which doesn’t surprise me. His whole life was based in the UK for so many years, and to get up and walk away from that is simply impossible.

“There may be a part within him that may resent that he has gone away and given up his home.
“He’ll also know what’s been going on with his father, his sister-in-law and also his friends. Part of him is probably saying because of these, he will need to keep his contacts in the UK.”
Harrold said it doesn’t surprise him that Harry is happy to bring the Invictus Games, a multi-sports event the prince co-founded for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, to the UK.
The Duke is “proud to be British”, he said, adding he believes staging the games in the UK will mean a lot to the King’s youngest son.
Harry also remains proud of his family, the royal insider said, noting his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s support for the project.

“Members of the family will also definitely support him with this,” he said. “As it is in the UK, it will be nice to think his father and brother will attend, and it is certainly possible that they will.
“I also wouldn’t rule out Harry moving back to the UK. His relationship seems stable, and as originally planned, he may want to spend some time here as well as in the States. It’s quite possible he will spend some time across both places.”
Birmingham won out over Washington DC, the other city which put in a bid for Invictus 2027, with the Games not being held in the UK since London 2014.
The next Games in 2025 will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, but Harry’s focus for now will be looking for a new CEO after Dominic Reid announced he was stepping down from his role.
