Former President Trump fell to the ground while delivering a speech. Armed security personnel quickly surrounded him to protect him. Afterwards, Trump stood up and raised his fist to the sky before being escorted off the stage, leaving the venue and being taken into a car.

Video footage from the scene showed blood on Trump’s ear as he was taken away. The former US President appeared to be holding one side of his head when he fell to the ground.
Republican Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio posted on the social media platform X: “Please join me in praying for our President Trump and everyone at the rally. I hope everyone is okay.”
The US Secret Service stated that Trump is now “safe” and they have implemented enhanced protective measures around the former President. They announced that an investigation is underway but did not provide further details.

“An investigation is underway and specific information will be released once results are available,” said Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the US Secret Service, in a social media post.
Trump’s campaign team stated that he is “okay” after the shooting.
Spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement: “President Trump thanks law enforcement agencies and first responders for their swift action in this heinous act. He is okay and currently undergoing examination at a local medical facility. More details will be provided later.”
